Medical Record Driven Invoicing
This concept is a “buzzword” in the industry, and we created the “buzz.” We invented background invoicing, which is a giant leap above selecting fees from the medical record. Our macro system actually places charges on the invoice as you interact with the medical record. For example:
 

These invoice entries were created by responding “Yes” to one question and selecting “Lat and DV” from a list. Interactive medical records allow you to communicate in English. You can use over 250 unique variables in macros. Each referring veterinarian can have a unique greeting. Clients can be addressed by title, first or last name, even by gender! Use personal pronouns for the client, patient or veterinarian.

Referral Integration
From the beginning, Animal Intelligence tracked referring veterinarian and hospital information. It is an integral part of the system, not an afterthought.

Drug Calculations
Our interactive medical records are practical in routine and emergency situations. Use macros to calculate everything from fluid rates to emergency drug dosages. Imagine a complete cardiac resuscitation drug protocol customized for the patient’s weight and your dispensing units at the touch of a button! You can even design macros that perform automatic calculations as you enter laboratory results, such as percentages.

Weights and Meters Squared Calculations
Animal Intelligence tracks successive patient weight entries so you can spot trends. Unlike other systems, there is no limit to the number of weights you can enter. You can type the weight as pounds or kilograms and Animal Intelligence automatically calculates the other and displays the meters squared calculation, too! All three of these weights can be used in drug calculations.

Unlimited Phone Numbers
Your clients have so many contact numbers these days: home, work, fax, mobile, spouse – not to mention temporary numbers for immediate contact! Animal Intelligence allows you to store unlimited phone numbers for every client, veterinarian and hospital. You can assign each number a category such as “home” or “work” and even add comments such as “call after 6pm.” You will never run out of storage again!

Custom Reporting
If you have used a practice management system already, you know that each system comes with a set of standard reports. Unfortunately, most of these reports are not designed for specialty practice. We know that each specialty practice is unique, and you need reports that fit your style.

We give you the best of both worlds. Animal Intelligence processes reports through a central utility called the Report Generator. Sure, you get all of the standard reports you expect, such as doctor production, accounts receivable, mailing lists and more. But we provide you with something others cannot offer – the ability to modify the standard reports and even create your own! Here are a few examples:

  Track doctor production by individual doctor, group, business and date range.
  Create followup letters and envelopes for all dogs with osteosarcoma.

Treatment Processing
Your technicians spend a great deal of time performing treatments. Recording treatment information and making sure charges get on the invoice is cumbersome. We make it easier. Imagine having an electronic assistant that is always one step ahead of you – simply select the type of treatment, and the assistant makes sure the proper information is recorded and charges are placed on the invoice!
 
 

Amoxicillin injection: You enter “1.5” and “SQ.” when prompted. The assistant converts mls to mgs and adds the injection fee to the invoice.

TPR: You enter “101.3”, “180” and “40” when prompted. Information is recorded in the medical record.

Fluid Therapy: You enter “LRS”, “20”, “left” and 25 when prompted. The assistant turns this into full text and calculates the number of mls per hour based upon your rate. All associated fees are placed on the invoice – automatically.
