Server Requirements
Minimum server requirements:
• Pentium II 300MHz (or better)
• 4+GB hard disk
• 256 MB RAM Windows 2000 Server (128 MB for
Novell Netware)
• VGA Monitor
• Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 or Novell Netware
3.12 or higher Operating System
• Tape backup system and software
• Uninterruptible power supply with UPS-control
software
• 100Mbps capable network card
Workstation Requirements
Minimum workstation requirements:
• Pentium 200MHz (or better)
• 2.1+GB hard disk
• 64 MB RAM Windows 98SE or higher (128 MB for
Windows 2000 or XP Professional)
• 100Mbps capable network card
• At least one workstation should have a modem
and Symantec pcANYWHERE remote-control software.
Other Considerations
In addition to the computers themselves, a complete
AI installation will require some or all of the following items:
One computer must include a modem and Symantec pcANYWHERE remote-control
software.
We recommend a laser printer for printing estimates, invoices, referral
letters, etc. and prefer Hewlett-Packard printers.
You will need a label printer if you intend to print labels. (Call
our office for recommendations)
One or more computers can be configured as FAX servers if modems are installed
in them.
Networked systems will require a 100Mbps or faster network hub. We
strongly recommend switches rather than hubs. Call our offices for
options combining switches and hubs.
